Three Stories of Second Chances

Teddy

Surrendered after his elderly owner passed away, Teddy arrived severely overweight, with an open wound and a seizure disorder. Crowded shelters rarely have the resources for dogs like him. But because our community stepped in, Teddy received medical care, loving foster support, and eventually found the perfect forever family — one where his new dad also has a seizure disorder. Teddy finally found home.

Nonna

Nonna came to a local shelter as part of a hoarding case with seven tiny dogs who overshadowed her at every turn. Large senior dogs often struggle to be noticed, but we knew Nonna deserved more. Thanks to donor support, she entered a foster home, decompressed, and was adopted into a family who adores her. Today, Nonna is living her very best life.

Hopper

Hopper was born in an abandoned home and lived her entire first year in isolation after her owners were incarcerated. With no shelter support and an ultimatum that all dogs on the property would be euthanized, her life was almost cut short. Because our community acted quickly, Hopper was rescued just in time. With patience and behavioral support, she bravely learned how to live in the world. Now she is adopted, safe, and continuing to grow.
