Nelms For Homewood City Council

Family and Friends,

After speaking with many of you and members of our community, I have decided to run for Homewood City Council, Ward 4 Place 2. As a 25-year resident of the City, I have grown more and more interested in being part of the community efforts that keep our city prosperous. My overall goals are to enhance the green space in our neighborhoods and to improve the ability for constituents to communicate with elected officials. I expect to use my background in the United States Senate and in the House of Representatives to address the networking efforts between residents and officials. Being a parent and pet owner, I have observed first-hand the importance of parks and green space. An interest I have is to have designated dog parks within the city limits for convenience to residents and to accommodate our pet population. If elected I will work with our Mayor, Council, and residents to achieve solutions to challenges as they arise. I especially look forward to working alongside Ward 4 veteran and city council incumbent Barry Smith to complete her current projects to benefit our city and our residents. I hope you will support us both as we continue to make the needs and safety of Homewood a priority.
