Approximately eight years ago I was introduced to the work of Tabitha's Heart at an informational gathering hosted by the Groff's.  They had recently been to Calcutta, India and brought back heartwarming, but sad stories of the lives of street children. The pictures broke my heart, but hearing how desperately these children desired an education stirred this teacher's soul.  Without an education, most of these children would remain on the streets.  However, Tabitha's Heart offered educational tutoring and meals to help change their lives.  By partnering with Tabitha's Heart, I have been able to sponsor several children and receive timely reports of their growth and progress.  Tabitha's Heart also has begun working with mothers who want to be able to provide for their children.  These ladies are given business training and helped to start their own small business which offers them the opportunity to earn a living wage.  Though I may never be able to go to Calcutta, I know that the money that I donate is making amazing improvements to the lives of many.  This year for my birthday, in lieu of presents, I ask you to consider donating to this worthy cause.  Help me reach my goal!  Every dollar counts and will be used to bless other lives.
