Team Oreo

Monastery Overture “Oreo” is a 8.2hh Miniature Horse mare, born in 2008, that joined the herd on Christmas Eve in 2012. ​She is only beat by Avalon (by a few months) as being with us the longest. Oreo is our smallest equine with one of the biggest personalities. She is the alpha boss of her pasture and often the face of the Ranch at community outings. Though her size suggests that she would be classified as a pony, technically speaking, she is actually biologically a horse with dwarfism. Oreo’s registered name comes from being bred & raised by a sisterhood of nuns in Brenham at the now-closed Monastery of St. Clare.
