ACHS Blood Cancer Awareness Night: One Team, One Fight
As of April 28, 2024, donations are now being accepted at: https://pages.lls.org/voy/nca/dcmetrolls24/ChristineAndrew2024
*********************************************
On April 25, 2024, the Alexandria City community will come together for a Blood Cancer Awareness Night: One Team, One Fight, a red out at the Alexandria City High School boys lacrosse games to raise awareness of blood cancers. Recently, our friend Samuel Dunton received the unexpected diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), a form of Leukemia. This is Samuel's junior year at Gonzaga College High School and he will spend the next 6-9 months at Children's Hospital receiving treatment. He played for ALC as a youth and is part of the Top Caliber family, too.
Please save the date to come out to our One Team, One Fight game night on April 25 to help battle blood cancers like AML. Support the cause by purchasing a Team Samuel t-shirt and wearing it to the game. We're also collecting donations to fund a cancer research grant with the Leukemia and Lymphona Society in Samuel's name. Together we can make a difference and save lives.
THE DEADLINE TO ORDER T-SHIRTS IS MONDAY, APRIL 15, 2024 at noon. If you would like to make a donation, but do not need a t-shirt, please enter your gift amount in the "other" box below the donation levels. Thanks again for your support and we look forward to seeing you on April 25 at the Parker-Gray Stadium at ACHS, 3330 King Street, Alexandria, VA 22302.
