Team TY - 11th Annual TYathlon

This picture was taken during a 5K fundraiser in support of Ty's surgeon. As you can see from me holding him, he was unable to walk and very skinny. But this was still a great day because Ty was in remission and we were filled with hope. A day we made the most of, and a day that will be remembered, as I try to do every day going forward with my children. The older I get, the more I realize how important each day is and how much it needs to be enjoyed, as it is one of a kind and cannot be repeated. It seems every evening that I kiss my kids goodnight, they are a little older. I don't want to miss a thing and when I hear friends becoming empty nesters, it used to be a milestone I longed for. Now, as Gavin is just four years away from college, it makes me so sad to think of them not being in the house. Maybe because I already know how empty it can be when one of your children is missing. Please support me as I swim, bike, and run for better treatments. Our children deserve more. T-hank Y-ou.
