Every year educational technology becomes more and more important. Children are learning HOW to use tech, as well as many skills THROUGH it. Team members use technology for instruction, data collection and reporting, communication internally and externally, and our entire community relies on us to communicate with them using up-to-date technology features.

At the same time that technology is increasingly ingrained in the work of all, it elevates our costs significantly. We are constantly updating computers, iPads and apps. This year, we want to do something for each classroom to allow for improvements to classroom instruction so our students could benefit even more.

You might find this hard to believe, but our earned revenues from services provided don't cover everything that public schools have. We have to raise money to cover costs of "extra" things, things such as technology.

We are raising money for a technology update to occur in time for our 2026-27 school year. We want to reach a $6,000 goal with which we can purchase Bluetooth projectors and drop-down screens for each classroom. They will be able to access online field trips, music, motor activities and even enlarge AAC communication for a full class, where now they are using just a computer screen or iPad for such activities. Once that project is completed, we also will upgrade a variety of laptops to meet diverse needs from department to department.
