Kick Off Financial Literacy Month: Empower Queens Teens!

We have an incredible opportunity to empower middle and high school students in Queens—and we need your help to make it happen!

In preparation for Financial Literacy Month, we are partnering with Futures Financial, a 100% teen-run organization from New Jersey that has already educated over 365 middle school students this school year. Together, we are launching a financial literacy initiative for Queens youth to equip them with essential money management skills and leadership experience.

We’ve already signed up 25+ NYC teen volunteers and are aiming to host a kick-off event on March 29th at 1 PM. At this event, 12+ teens from Futures Financial will lead a financial literacy class and training session. Following the session, participating  teens will collaborate with Projekt NYC to lead after-school financial literacy classes for middle schoolers across Queens, spreading financial knowledge and fostering community engagement throughout the year.

But we need your support!

We are raising $1,000 to cover the costs of:

  • Transportation for Futures Financial volunteers

  • Refreshments for participants

  • Materials for the training session

To amplify the impact, we will invite local Queens media outlets  to cover the event. This will highlight the power of teens teaching teens, celebrate Financial Literacy Month, and inspire even more youth to get involved.

This is a fantastic opportunity to invest in the future of our community. Your support will not only provide vital resources for this initiative but will also give local teens the tools to succeed and the platform to lead.

Will you help us reach our $1,000 goal?

Whether you pledge a portion or cover the full amount as a sole sponsor, your contribution will directly impact Queens youth and offer your organization valuable community exposure.

Together, we can empower the next generation of financially savvy, community-minded leaders.

Donate today and make a lasting difference!
