Our roots are deep and rich with culture, creativity, and community. At Bembé, we believe that young people can carry the stories, rhythms, and visions that will shape our present and collective future. Through our youth-centered, intergenerational cultural arts programs, Bembé fosters access, agency, mentorship, and opportunity through Afro-Latino musical traditions. We stand alongside young artists to use their voices, honor their roots, and transform our community through cultural arts.

Your support helps us provide:

Year-Round Workshops, summer camps, travel, and performances led by accomplished, loving artists and cultural elders
Free Community Cultural Celebrations that celebrate joy, identity, and belonging at Casa Bembé, open to the entire community
Paid arts apprenticeships, internships and employment for youth artists ages 15–21
Community Dinners with each workshop, to nourish physical well-being and social connection.

Bembé provides all programs at low or no cost to youth and their families. Our community events are always free, feeding souls and bellies. Our cultural home is a safe and welcoming space to nourish social connection and embrace one other.
