UPDATE: Thanks to all of your donations, we have collected 1,296 items for displaced teachers and students including pencils, backpacks, whiteboards, legal pads, folders and colored pencils. Thank you so much!

Math and Cookies is a mission-driven company built by two women who are passionate about public service and education. During the pandemic, we saw how much a disruption in education uprooted children’s lives. They were lost and depressed and needed their teachers to regain a sense of normalcy, however small. We cannot imagine what kids, parents, and teachers in Ukraine are going through now. We have been especially moved by images of teachers who are conducting classes in bunkers and basements. 

To help, we are hand-packaging Teacher Toolkits for displaced teachers from Ukraine who have fled to Romania and Poland but are still trying to teach classes anywhere they can. Our boxes will include whiteboards, erasers, markers, paper, colored pencils, cookies (of course!) and handwritten notes from kids in New York City about what teachers mean to them. 

We are doing this ourselves but any extra donations would be greatly appreciated and go towards boxes, shipping and supplies. Thank you!
