I’m Olivia, a full-spectrum doula based in the U.S. Virgin Islands, currently completing my doula certification with Birthing Advocacy Doula Training (BADT). Through my birth-work practice, Radically Rooted Doula, I support families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with care grounded in autonomy, informed consent, and community.

Birth support can make a profound difference in how safe, respected, and empowered a person feels during one of life’s most powerful transitions. Research shows that doula care is associated with improved birth outcomes, fewer interventions, and more positive birth experiences.

Yet, doulas are often financially out of reach for many families, especially for Black and Brown parents who already face disproportionate barriers and disparities within maternal healthcare systems. The Radically Rooted Birth Fund was created as a community-supported model to help change that!

Donations to this fund help sustain the time, preparation, and labor that go into providing doula support so that the families receiving services can access this care at no cost.

Funds may support:

• prenatal visits and birth preparation
• on-call availability for labor
• continuous birth support
• postpartum care and follow-up
• transportation and supplies
• educational materials for families

Every contribution helps make birth support more accessible and helps build a culture of care around families during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum! Every $800 raised helps provide full doula support for one family.
