The breakout sessions will include: 1. GLSEN: Creating and/or Supporting a Welcoming and Inclusive School Climate for LGBTQIA+ Students and Their Families. 2. Safety and Prevention 3. OutSupport: Trans 101 4. Mental Health and Wellness 5. PFLAG Cleveland: Coming Out in the Family: Parents and Friends Preparing 6. If You're Human, You're Biased. Now What? 7. Being An Ally 8. LGBTQIA+ Legal Rights in Ohio 9. Religious Trauma Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Kami Brannon, LPCC Pronouns: She/her/hers Topic: Mental Health - The Becoming of Who Our Younger Selves Needed Kami Brannon, LPCC (she/her) is the founder, and primary therapist, at Therapeutic Intervention, LLC - Queer Therapy Center/EAP. In her work there, Kami focuses on providing therapy for queer and BIPOC clients as well as EAP and DEI contract work with the City of Columbus and several local, small businesses. As part of her business, Kami utilizes social media (@columbusqueertherapist) as a tool for advocacy and representation of the black, queer experience. In her free time, Kami and her spouse (Brandy) are working to create a queer campground in Hocking Hills. Most of Kami’s life work has been focused on turning her pain into purposeful action forward for the queer community. Her goal is to create the diverse, accessible, safe, queer spaces she would have benefited from.
