I’m Shawn Thierry and I’m running for re-election as your State Representative for Texas House District 146! Approaching my 5th term in the Texas legislature, I have a solid track record of success and dedication to serving our community, I have effectively worked across the aisles to address crucial issues that impact the lives of our constituents and the people of Texas.

Throughout my tenure, I have successfully passed legislation to improve the safety of our schools, reduce maternal mortality rates, and expand access to women's healthcare. I have been a leader in protecting the elderly, combating human trafficking, increasing food security, and providing housing options for our veterans as well as Texas youth who age out of foster care.

As a fierce child advocate, I have also championed public health initiatives to protect the physical and mental well-being of children. In the 88th legislative session, I successfully passed the first statewide law to ban deceptive marketing of e-cigarettes to minors. I also fought for extending healthcare coverage for the disabled community, and actively supported economic development for small businesses. I also understand the challenges faced by hardworking homeowners, which is why I have been a staunch advocate for property tax relief.

While I am proud of these accomplishments, our work is not yet complete. I am eager to return to Austin and continue to fight for the values of District 146. I believe in the power of collaboration and bipartisanship to achieve meaningful change, and I will work tirelessly to ensure that the voices of District 146 constituents are heard and represented.
