Tinkerbell Sponsorship
Meet Tinkerbell! Tink is in her late 20's and stands at 28 inches tall. She is a dwarf mini. We were contacted in November of 2024 by a local animal lover, asking if we could take in a mini that was abandoned. We picked her up and she was so tiny that we could actually carry her. She immediately went to the local vet hospital for evaluation where she stayed for a week. During this time, she had some dental work done and a few hoof trims. She has several deformities in her feet. Once we brought her to the rescue, we had several follow up appointments in Auburn, AL at the Auburn University Large Teaching Hospital. She was able to get more farrier work done and had toe extensions added. She still has to get that done every 4 weeks but luckily we have a local farrier that has been able to take on her case since he has experience with her condition. During one of her trips to Auburn, she also had some serious dental work done. Sadly, she had a few broken teeth and we had to have those removed. Tink is tiny but she has a HUGE personality. She is still not cleared by our vet to be adopted due to her ongoing feet and dental issues. She is also on a very special diet so she doesn't gain anymore weight. She is on a dry lot with her bestie, Gypsy.
HOW DOES A SPONSORSHIP WORK?
You can choose to donate any amount each month. Our goal is to get her monthly bill of $111.90 covered each month by sponsors. 100% of your donation goes directly to the horses in our care. Our rescue is powered by amazing volunteers!
The sponsorship program is where an individual, business or group makes an annual or monthly gift which provides us with the support that allows us to continue rescuing horses and focus less on fundraising. Your commitment creates a happy ending for the shattered lives we rescue.
Sponsorship is for any business, group or person who wants to help save horses, ponies, donkeys or mules and can financially commit to providing an annual or monthly donation for a rescue’s care. Many of our rescues often require more medical attention than the average horse. Rescues may need months or even years, to return to health and rebuild their trust in humans.
Sponsorships make legendary gifts to give a friend or family member who loves horses. Give a sponsorship as a gift for birthdays, holidays, or special occasions. Sponsoring a rescue is a great way for groups and organizations such as schools, church groups and clubs, to support their community.
