Imagine a Subway restaurant turning into the birthplace of an amazing journey that has touched hearts, mended souls, saved marriages, and united communities. This is the remarkable story of Angela and Reggie, the passionate visionaries behind H.O.P.E. Productions.

In the summer of 2007, Angela's journey started with a Girl Scout program at a church festival, orchestrated by the enthusiastic Youth Pastor, Reginald Baldwin. Little did Angela know that this encounter would set the stage for an extraordinary collaboration that would redefine the power of storytelling.

Fast forward to January 2008, a pivotal moment when Angela, enjoying the of success of a major Girl Scout event, received a call from Reggie. What began as a simple inquiry about future collaborations quickly transformed into a discovery of shared passions and talents. Angela, unaware of Reggie's profound gift for playwriting, soon found herself at a Subway Restaurant, immersed in the words of Reggie's play, "Fallen From Grace."

The spark ignited that day, giving birth to H.O.P.E. Productions, an acronym embodying their mission: Helping Other People Excel. Their debut play on Mother's Day in May 2008, marked not only the birth of a theatrical endeavor, but also the blossoming of a beautiful partnership. Challenges were faced, bonds were tested, but through it all, Reggie and Angela became not just artistic collaborators but best friends. And, as fate would have it, six months after their first performance, they became life partners, too.

Sixteen years have passed since that Subway rendezvous, and Angela and Reggie have continued to script stories with messages that transcend the boundaries of the church, reaching the masses with messages of hope, love, and redemption. Their plays have been catalysts for saved souls, transformed marriages, and reunited families—a testament to the transformative power of art.

Now, they stand before you, with a vision that extends beyond the horizons of Lake County, IL. H.O.P.E. Productions yearns to take their positive message of Reality Check, on the road, bringing this play to audiences in new cities, to include, but not limited to Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Milwaukee in 2024. They want the audiences to experience the empowering messages they create. But, for this journey to unfold, they need your support.

Your contribution will help H.O.P.E. Productions travel to new cities, spreading joy, inspiration, and the uplifting power of their inspirational gospel stage plays. Your support is not just an investment in theater; it's an investment in the transformative impact of their God-given, life-changing stories. We want to emphasize that our goal amount is not the full amount of the entire tour. Instead, we are seeking support, a seed if you will, to help us get started. Ultimately, we want to go to new areas, and plant seeds of hope, love and faith, while building the kingdom of God.
