ABOUT THE GRANT
The Cody Clemente Memorial Grant for National Championship Athletes was created to support snowboarders and freeskiers who have qualified for USASA National Championships but face financial barriers to attending. The grant honors the legacy of Cody Clemente—a talented and passionate USASA snowboarder who tragically passed away in 2025.
The grant recognizes an athlete who embodies leadership, teamwork, kindness, and a joy for life—qualities that defined Cody, a talented and passionate USASA snowboarder whose impact continues to be felt throughout the snowboarding community.
Grant funds help offset essential costs such as entry fees, travel, lodging, and other expenses required to compete at Nationals.
CODY’S LEGACY
Cody was an exceptional athlete and an even more remarkable human. He was full of compassion, smiles, and genuine love for his friends, family, teammates, and competitors alike. His passion showed up in everything he did, but nowhere more than in his deep love for snowboarding.
Known for his natural style and flair, Cody brought creativity and confidence wherever he rode—whether launching off a rail, dropping into the halfpipe, sending a big jump, or simply showing up fully himself in baggy jeans and pearls. His presence was unmistakable, and his infectious smile would light up a room.
While Cody was a natural leader who effortlessly drew people in, he was also soft-spoken and humble. He found the most meaning in heartfelt, one-on-one conversations and cared deeply about his community. His kindness, inclusivity, authenticity, and constant encouragement of others to “shoot for the stars” left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Cody’s final moments in our world reflected the way he lived his life, showing up for others with care, loyalty, and love. In the middle of the night, he answered a call from a friend who needed help getting home when no one else was available. Without hesitation, Cody did what he always did: he showed up. There were no drugs or alcohol involved. It was on the drive home that a tragic accident occurred. We hold close the truth that he left this world while caring for someone else’s well-being, and we carry that with us as a bright and guiding light.
In his 19 years, Cody lived with extraordinary passion and purpose—more fully than many do in a lifetime. His legacy reminds us to be present, laugh often, love fully, and always Love Like Cody.
