In the Shawnee Mission School District, every child receives a meal, no matter their ability to pay. But when families struggle to cover the cost, the unpaid lunch debt doesn’t just disappear—it falls on the schools. That means funds meant for education, classroom resources, and student programs are instead used to cover meal costs, impacting all students.

That’s why Rogue Round Table, in partnership with Beck’s Place, is hosting March Madness Trivia Night—a night of fun and friendly competition to help tackle this growing issue. Proceeds from this event will go toward paying down school lunch debt at Apache and Comanche Elementary Schools, keeping education dollars where they belong—in the classroom.
