Summer’s story began in the unlikeliest of places—a public bathroom, alone and abandoned. Thankfully, a compassionate foster found her and brought her home, reaching out to us for help. We covered her initial vet visit and supplies, but it quickly became clear that Summer’s injuries were far more serious than expected.

This tiny, sweet kitten had a fractured jaw and a torn bottom lip—painful injuries that required specialized surgery to heal properly. A dental specialist quoted us between $6,000–$8,000 for the procedure—an amount far beyond what we could manage.

That’s when Dr. Laura, the incredible veterinarian who first examined Summer, stepped up. Moved by Summer’s gentle spirit and resilience, she offered to take full responsibility for her care and even pay for the surgery out of her own pocket.
