Corporate impunity is one of the most critical issues of our time. From climate change to human rights abuses, corporations continue to rake in record profits while causing immense harm. Corporate Accountability Lab (CAL) was founded in response to the crisis of widespread corporate abuse of human rights and the environment and disappearing legal tools to hold corporations accountable. The future of our planet and the life it supports depends on our collective ability to rise to these challenges.

Your donation has a direct impact on this work--it allows CAL to conduct global investigations into forced labor, environmental harm, hazardous child labor, and gender-based violence at the hands of corporations. These investigations lead to import bans, civil litigation, and much needed remedy for workers who have been impacted. Every dollar helps chip away at the hegemony of corporate power.

Corporate Accountability Lab (CAL) uses creativity to unleash the power of the law to hold companies accountable for harming workers and communities across international supply chains. CAL works transnationally with workers, unions, NGO partners, and impacted communities to build a more just and equitable world. In developing and testing new legal strategies to hold corporations accountable, CAL works in a variety of impacted communities and contexts, including sugarcane workers in the Dominican Republic, shrimp sector workers in India, frankincense harvesters and processors in Somaliland, açaí harvesters in Brazil, cocoa farmworkers in West Africa, and survivors of corporate-sponsored violence in Colombia. Their expansive work tackles issues of forced labor, hazardous child labor, environmental harm, transitional justice in conflict-afflicted geographies, gender-based violence and sex trafficking, corruption, and misleading consumers through the farcities of social auditing certification schemes.
