Rain Lily Montessori School in Fernandina Beach, provides a high quality, authentic Montessori education for preschool children ages 3-6. Our beautiful child-centered environment offers young children the opportunity to learn and grow in a nurturing and peaceful classroom community. We are an intentionally diverse community of learners, with equity and inclusivity at the core of our guiding principles. We believe that all families should have access to a high quality Montessori Education regardless of financial means.
We are a member of the Wildflower Network of schools. Wildflower is an ecosystem of decentralized Montessori micro-schools that support children, teachers, and parents. Wildflower aspires to give all children and families the opportunity to choose high quality, beautiful learning environments as they follow life’s unfolding journey.
In our efforts to provide equitable access to our school, we follow a Family Individualized Tuition Model, with a 4 Tier Tuition Program. We believe that no family should be asked to pay more than 10% of their annual income in tuition costs, and by setting 4 tiers, we open our doors to families that would otherwise not be able to even consider Montessori for their child. We have adopted a 1/3 enrollment model. This means that we do not just fill spots, we take great care to ensure that we save space for families from all income levels.
We have had a very challenging startup journey; starting with difficulty finding a space to house Rain Lily Montessori, delayed permitting and renovations, and now the need to resolve some major septic issues on our rental property. Through all of this, we have kept hope alive and focused on our mission to create this beautiful one of a kind school here on Amelia Island. We are so close to this big beautiful dream coming true! Please consider making a donation today to get us over the finish line to open our doors in January 2023. When you donate to our Giving Tuesday Campaign, you help us create more learning opportunities for underserved Nassau County families!
