UAW Locals 2865, 5810, and 4123 are fundraising for a migrant shelter in Tijuana- Jardin de las Mariposas- that is dedicated to receiving LGBTQ migrants and refugees who have been displaced from their homes.

There is a constant political and economic displacement of people in Latin America and beyond. Many displaced people attempt to cross the USA/Mexico border seeking refuge. Although this displacement is always present, there was a recent spike in this crisis that requires humanitarian support.

While we know this will not stop the crisis, our aim is to help provide resources for those giving first hand support to displaced communities.
