Health and fitness has always been a part of Sumi's life. Her family excelled in sports and martial arts, which naturally encouraged Sumi to participate in multiple sports from a young age. At the age of 15, Sumi earned a spot on the Canadian Karate National Team. She continued to compete internationally and represent Canada for 15 years, all while she earned a Bachelor's in Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia. Sumi also began her career as a Kinesiologist, working with a wide range of clients - from elite athletes to MVA victims. Working with many clients confirmed that attitude and motivation is what feeds personal growth, regardless of one's physical ability. Sumi's passion to aid in one's recovery has grown immensely and she wanted to continue working with the clinical population after moving to Seattle.
