Our Launch Lab: Discovery, Innovation & Skills Training for Neurodiverse Futures

Launch Lab

We are excited to launch this campaign to support our vision for our Launch Lab, an initiative designed to offer a structured yet flexible environment where neurodiverse individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and other unique learning needs can explore their potential through hands-on learning. Our programs focus on building work readiness, developing essential social and communication skills, and fostering autonomy and independence.

This project is planned to expand upon and complement our Farm FriYay Courses. It will function as a safe space for participants to practice daily life skills and learn real-world tasks in areas such as, but not limited to:

Basic Office Skills: Filing, organization, and clerical work.
Computer Literacy: Navigating software programs, typing skills, and data entry.
Trade Skills Exploration- (Construction, Small Engines, Sewing/Crafts, and more): Projects that develop fine motor skills, problem-solving, and creativity.
Retail, Food and Customer Service: Simulated skill building, interactions and tasks that build confidence.

Your support will enable us to expand resources and partnerships to provide comprehensive assessment and training for functional life and workplace skills. We aim to implement a research-based assessment system that identifies aptitudes for community-based employment, functional abilities, personal interests, and work behavior strengths, while addressing barriers to success. Research Based Curriculum System: To expand resources and partnerships for assessment and training for our individuals.
Tools and Materials: Supplies for hands-on learning projects such as art supplies, office equipment, computers, and kitchen tools for daily living skill activities.
Educational Resources: Learning modules, software, and technology that assist with building job-specific skills.
