Who is HEALTH CARE ACCESS?

Since 2000, Health Care Access (HCA) has been connecting uninsured and underinsured residents of the Greater Phoenixville area with specialized health care services. Our clients receive treatment from a network of local providers for dental and vision care, and help with prescription medications and mammograms.

The Dental Program provides preventative, restorative and emergency care. Required treatment is always covered for children (except for braces), while the scope of care for adults is limited to cleanings, exams, x-rays, fillings, extractions, and help with the cost of dentures or partial dentures.

The Vision Program provides comprehensive eye exams and glasses or contact lenses. HCA may offer other medical eye care on a case by case basis.

Through the Prescription Program HCA assists clients in completing applications for pharmaceutical Patient Assistance Programs (PAP’s) that provide no-cost brand name medications for up to a year. HCA's Emergency Rx Voucher Program may fund a one time prescription (up to a thirty day supply) or a one time emergency prescription copayment at one of two participating pharmacies. The majority of our PAP and E-Rx referrals com from the Phoenixville Free Clinic and the Phoenixville Hospital.

The Mammogram Program assists women and men (usually aged 40 and above) in obtaining a free mammogram screening, with funding available for further diagnostics and ultrasounds.
