Giving Tuesday?

We know that Giving Tuesday is relatively new and our non-American readers may not be familiar with it, so here's a quick explanation: following on the heels of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a day for simply being kind and/or generous: making someone smile, lending a helping hand, or donating to a charity--just generally being excellent to each other.

This Giving Tuesday, they need a lot.

The situation in Ukraine is grim. russia is pounding Ukraine's power grid in an effot to freeze and starve them into submission, and killing civilians in cities far from the zero line. Frontline teams lack power to keep their communication systems charged. Engineering teams a little further back lack power to keep their printer farms printing. We have a dramatic surge in requests for power systems on top of the usual winter requests for warm gear and car tires, on top of all the requests for year-round needs like vehicles and medical supplies.

We're having to triage requests, which we hate. So we've set a very lofty goal. If you shoot for the stars and miss, at least you'll still reach the moon, right?

This Giving Tuesday, we want you to feel appreciated.

We never lose sight of the fact that it's you who provide the aid they need. All we really do is put it in the right shape and send it on its way. This Giving Tuesday, we want to give a little bit back to you, to thank you for all that you do for them. Most of the items here were given to us for fundraising by teams your donations support. The beaded ornaments are from a kind (and talented) donor.

Every donation

Every donation, regardless of the amount, gets you entered into a raffle for Eternal Guilt, a sculpture by our very own Arcaist. The metal is part of a russian Grad rocket which tried and failed to damage a stabilization point in Toretsk in November 2022. The rocket was given to us by a doctor from the 5th Separate Assault Brigade.

russia will lose this war. But even after the last round is fired, there will be too many Ukrainians who will never find peace again. There is literally nothing russia can do to erase their evil deeds, and it will be generations, if ever, before the relationship between Ukraine and russia heals.

But russia’s guilt will be eternal.

This artwork is part of Arcaist's "Toretsk" - Collection.

Since the city came under siege by the russians, the importance of this collection has only increased.

Donations over $200

In addition to being entered into the raffle, donors who contribute $200 or more will receive a .50 cal keychain.

This shell comes from a round fired by GUR soldiers.

The highest donation

The highest donation will receive this used ballistic plate painted by a Zhytomer-based artist. This plate saved a soldier's life.

That donor will also receive two of the hand-beaded ornaments from the UK: one large and one small.
