This is the 14th Annual UGA HEROs Golf Tournament raising money to improve the quality life of children in Georgia whose lives have been impacted by HIV/AIDS through various initiatives such as one-on-one mentoring programs or providing the opportunity to attend Camp High Five, a specialized summer camp. Our Event Schedule is laid out as follows: • 8 - 10 AM: In-person registration (if preferred) and socially distanced mingling will occur during this time range. • 10 AM - 3 PM: The actual tournament play will take place during this time range with a shotgun start, along with 3 competitions throughout the day. • 3 - 5 PM: The post-event reception, including our silent auction (with many unique items) will take place during this time range.
Story
UGA HEROs is a non-profit student run organization that strives to improve the quality of life for the 12,000 children in Georgia infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS by raising money to support the programs offered by H.E.R.O. for Children, Inc., spreading awareness about the growing problem of pediatric AIDS, and participating in service initiatives aimed at improving the lives of affected children.
We've provided 350 kids with over 18,000 hours of quality life care and with your help we can continue to expand programs such as SuperHEROs Mentoring, Camp High Five, HERO for a Day, Holiday of HEROs, and UGA HERO Olympics.
Our goal is to show kids that no matter their situation, they’re valuable and worthy of love. Join over 2,000 UGA students in the fight to change lives.
