The war in Ukraine has brought a mental and physical toll on its citizens. Many Ukrainian children have lost parents, siblings, friends. The UNICEF organization states that over 1.2 million children have been displaced from their homes and an additional 7.1 million that require assistance.
Due to the bombings, many children are now amputees and suffering the emotional and physical tolls from those injuries.
The Kids4Action 501C organization will be hosting two fundraising opportunities in the Portsmouth community to raise funds to support the Ukrainian Chernihiv Children’s Hospital where many of the Ukrainian children are being treated. 100% of the proceeds will go to support Chernihiv Children’s Hospital with the purchase of needed supplies as well as the build-out of a rehabilitation center to support the amputees in recovery and adaptation skills as they learn to live with their injuries.
