QUEER IMMIGRANT JUSTICE PROJECT (QIJP)

UnLocal’s Queer Immigrant Justice Project (QIJP) represents clients in their asylum cases, employment authorizations, and adjustment of status. QIJP takes affirmative steps to ensure that LGBTQ+ immigrants have an opportunity to lead full, safe, and identity-affirming lives. UnLocal’s Education and Outreach Coordinator provides educational and outreach support for QIJP, leading community and virtual workshops on topics of interest for the LGBTQ+ immigrant community and instructing others, including teachers and parents, on best practices when working with LGBTQ+ immigrants.
