October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This is a time set aside to mourn those lost to abuse, celebrate survivors, and network for change. This national event takes place each year during the month of October to connect advocates working to end violence within the home.
Please join me on October 20th @ 7 PM for the livestream evening of "United in Healing 2022" as we raise funds to support the work of the Domestic Abuse Project. You will hear stories of impact from DAP clients, donors, staff and volunteers. Hosted by WCCO's Shayla Reaves and Mike Augustyniak.
I have been a member of the advancement committee at the Domestic Abuse Project since 2014. Many of you are aware of the extraordinary work DAP is doing for families by providing advocacy and therapy for Every Member of a family. Through my involvement with DAP I have seen firsthand how the work of this organization has lifted our communities and has ended cycles of abuse. This very special work keeps me connected to their mission.
It would be great if I could reach my fundraising goal of $3,500 which will provide 120 hours of individual therapy by a trauma-informed therapist, and one year of child-parent psychotherapy.
Please consider giving an amount that feels significant to you to help fund their work.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Always,
Barb
