Support Our Work
Upper Amazon Conservancy partners with Indigenous communities and their federations to promote sustainable and profitable livelihoods and strengthen stewardship of their lands and adjacent protected areas.
We pride ourselves on the time spent in the most remote and dangerous parts of the Amazon headwaters, working to protect the forests and way of life of the settled and isolated indigenous tribes who live there.
Engaging local people as key participants in all activities, Upper Amazon Conservancy focuses on preparing community members to engage in and benefit from conservation activities as a means to protect their lands and strengthen adjacent protected areas.
Please contact executive director, Chris Fagan, to learn exactly how we would plan to use your donation – from purchasing fuel for our dugout patrol boats, providing equipment for community vigilance committees, supplying our sustainable natural resource projects, or supporting staff in the field.
