KITCHEN/DINING HALL FUNDRAISER

Last year’s borehole fundraiser was a huge success! We are so thankful for those who allowed us to bring water back to our Ronesa School community. Now that we have water in great supply, we desperately need to turn our attention toward improving the infrastructure of our school; starting with our need to build a proper kitchen and eating area for our current students and staff. As you can see from the photo, our makeshift kitchen is very outdated. We need to build a kitchen that will enable our sweet Mama Joyce to feed the 200+ people that she feeds each day. Currently, Mama Joyce prepares porridge in the morning and then a rice/corn/beans meal for lunch. All of this is done over a single fire pit from one large bowl. It is time consuming to prepare and clean so many dishes each day. The students and staff currently eat their meals on their laps while sitting on makeshift benches, and often while sitting on the ground under the trees for shade. We would really like them to have a proper indoor dining hall to sit in while eating and visiting with their friends. Thank you for your kind consideration in donating to our efforts.
