Tanesha Powell's Story
Outdoor education has been a life giving endeavor for me. I launched into this field as a first year teacher at an environmental science magnet school and 17 years later and have only gotten more deeply involved and in love with this field. The environment has a wealth of lessons that can be learned and affirming experiences to gain for children and adults alike. More support and funding is needed for environmental educators to have resources they need to continue offering this rich form of impactful education experiences.
