Venice Hongwanji Elevator Safety Upgrade Fund

The Temple elevator has served us well for over 40 years (we have learned that the average elevator equipment lasts about 20-25 years).  While the elevator is still operational, we need to perform a safety upgrade, or modernization, to ensure that our elevator remains in safe condition for the years to come.

This effort is quite expensive and is expected to cost $150,000.  During the course of the coming months, we will be initiating a number of activities to help us raise the necessary funds to complete the project in a timely manner. 

We have 5 Sponsorship Levels: Silver $300, Gold $500, Diamond $1,000, Sapphire $3,000 and Platinum $5,000.  You may make a one-time donation, make monthly payments for a year, or 2 annual payments (1 each year- Gold through Platinum only).  To select your payment amount, select the one-time, monthly or yearly payment tab and select your amount.  You can make a donation of any amount by entering your donation in the other box.  You can follow this campaign to track our progress and we greatly appreciate your support and generosity.

We are one of approximately 60 Jodo Shinshu temples and churches that are a part of the Buddhist Churches of America. Located in the Culver City area of Los Angeles, we have been promoting the Buddha Dharma for over 60 years.
