VHBT Elevator Madness 2024

Buddha Needs a Lift!  Help us as the Temple embarks on a massive elevator overhaul project.  Our elevator, which has served us well for over 40 years, needs a safety upgrade.  Make your bracket picks for the 2024 Men's Basketball tournament for your chance to win!  Proceeds from this activity will go to the VHBT Elevator Safety Upgrade Fund.

You will receive 1 entry for every donation of $25.  Up to 4 entries per person.  

The scoring is as follows:

Correct 1st round selections (exluding the Tuesday play-in games)     1 point (32 games)

Correct 2nd round selections                                                                 2 points (16 games)

Correct 3rd round selections (Sweet Sixteen)                                        4 points (8 games)

Correct 4th round selections (Elite Eight)                                               8 points (4 games)

Correct Semifinal selections (Final Four)                                               16 points (2 games)

Correct Championship Game selection                                                 32 points (1 game)

Venice Hongwanji Buddhist Temple is one of 60 Jodo Shinshu temples and churches that are a part of the Buddhist Churches of America. Located in the Culver City area of Los Angeles, we have been promoting the Buddha Dharma for over 60 years.  In 2025, we will celebrate our 65th anniversary.
