Hands Across The Water is committed to providing gifts for 120 children this holiday season. We partner with an amazing organization who provides the gifts; our direct costs are $30 per child, and we are grateful to have any portion of that cost sponsored by supporters who wish to support young people during the giving season. A very generous donor has offered to match the first $1000 in donations for this purpose, so please help us make the holidays bright for all our young clients!

GIVING TUESDAY UPDATE: Another donor will match an additional $500 to make sure we can make it across the finish line! Any money raised over the amount needed to cover gifts will be used for other needed supports for children and families.🥰

Founded in 1999 to support families with international adoption, today Hands Across The Water is still providing international adoption services as well as infant adoption and adoption of older children (waiting child adoption) through the State of Michigan's foster care system, as well as foster care case management, foster parent licensing, kinship care, and behavioral health services. HATW is proud to part of the Michigan Federation for Children and Families, the National Council for Adoption, and to be Hague-accredited through the Intercountry Adoption Accreditation and Maintenance Entity. HATW has been annually recognized by the Human Rights Campaign for supporting and serving LGBTQ+ youth and families since 2011.
