After 46 years in public education, including my time as Superintendent of Newport News Public Schools until my retirement in 2017, my dedication to learning and community engagement hasn’t faded. That’s why I serve on the Board of the Virginia Living Museum. I support the VLM because it is a community educator that brings people together through shared experiences. It deepens our understanding of the natural world and inspires all of us to be better caretakers of the place we call home. Through my work with VLM, I continue my mission to educate, connect, and ensure future generations appreciate and protect our environment. I invite you to join me in this vital work.
