đ Support the Womenâs Council of CIRA This Giving Tuesday
Warm Coats. Warm Hearts. Strong Communities.
The Womenâs Council of CIRA is a collective of dedicated women committed to strengthening Indianapolis through service, leadership, and community outreach. Each year, we champion initiatives that directly support children, families, and young adults across our cityâespecially those facing economic hardship.
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in making a powerful impact through our 3rd Annual Coat Drive, benefiting:
-
Flanner House
-
Brookside School 54 (IPS)
-
Hawthorne Community Center
These organizations serve neighborhoods where financial challenges, reduced childcare support, and rising living costs place tremendous pressure on families. A warm coat is not just clothingâit is comfort, dignity, and safety for a child who has to walk to school, a teen striving to stay engaged, or a young adult commuting to a job or training program.
Make Your Gift Go Even Further Today
Givebutter is matching all contributions by 1% this Giving Tuesday, which means every donationâlarge or smallâautomatically grows.
Your support today has even more power to provide coats for children, teens, and adults in need across Indianapolis.
âď¸ Why Your Giving Tuesday Donation Matters
From toddlers to teens and adults, the need for winter coats in Indianapolis has grown. Recent cuts to childcare subsidies and financial support programs mean more families are forced to choose between rent, food, and essentials like winter gear.
Your Giving Tuesday contribution helps us provide:
-
Coats in sizes 18 months through teen and adult sizes
-
A special supply of boysâ and young menâs coats, which are in the highest demand
-
Coats for young adults participating in Flanner House programs who need proper outerwear to attend work, school, internships, and vocational training
A single coat can change a winter. Your generosity can change many.
𧟠How Your Donation Will Be Used
Your contribution directly fuels this coat drive's success.
Funds will support:
-
Cleaning and preparing donated coats so every person receives a coat that feels fresh, clean, and dignified
-
Purchasing coats in sizes we do not receive, especially for teen boys and adults, where the need is greatest
-
Ensuring every partner organization gets exactly what their families need
If donations exceed coat-drive needs, the remaining funds will support the Womenâs Councilâs year-round community initiatives, including:
-
Scholarships for students and young professionals
-
Financial literacy workshops
-
Home-buying education programs are designed to empower families toward long-term stability.
Your generosity will continue uplifting Indianapolis long after the coat drive ends.
