Access to School - Individual Grants

We provide food and transportation allowance to students with disabilities to make sure that they have access to accessible and inclusive education.

In the Philippines, where transportation to school is not a right, many school-aged kids are unable to attend regularly or at all because of their family's indigent circumstances. Transportation to a school with accessible accommodations (e.g. a school for the Deaf with signing teachers) is costly and can take hours because there are very few of these schools nationally. This lack of resources also usually come with the inability to bring or pay for food at school that teachers sometimes pay for their students' meals out of their own money when they see their students not eating.

With proper nutrition and reliable transportation access to school, it is easier for students to actively participate in all their learning activities.

Individual grants for each student range from $25 - $50 per month.
