The Vermont Theatre Company has an exciting 2025–26 season ahead, staging five productions between November 2025 and August 2026!

Our 41st season will feature performances throughout the greater Brattleboro area, deepening our partnerships with 118 Elliot Street Gallery, the Dummerston Evening Star Grange, and Brattleboro Recreation & Parks Department.

I, Joan – March 2026
A vibrant reimagining of the Joan of Arc story — an interactive community experience exploring gender, politics, and power.
Play in a Day Festival – April 2026
From casting to curtain call — five brand new plays produced in just 24 hours!
The Tragedie of Macbeth – June 2026
We're bringing the Scottish play to Shakespeare in the Park.
Summer Play Reading Series – July/August 2026
A relaxed play reading and potluck series at the Kiwanis shelter — bringing scripts, stories, and neighbors together.

🌟 Our Mission

We contribute to our community by creating accessible and engaging theatre experiences. We foster inclusivity through open auditions, nurture developing talent alongside seasoned performers, and present affordable, high-quality productions that entertain, inspire, and ignite the imagination.

Last season, our village of volunteers, artists, and supporters created over 130 opportunities for actors, directors, musicians, and designers to showcase their talents and collaborate. This year, we’re expanding access through “suggested donation” tickets and advancing our Access & Inclusion Plan.

We believe passionately in the power of theatre to enrich the cultural landscape, cultivate community, and create connection. But like any thriving village, it takes many hands to build something beautiful.
