St. Mary’s Academy (SMA) has shaped generations of young men into leaders, and now, it’s time for us to give back in a big way. We have launched the Restore & Rebuild Campaign to replace the severely damaged roof of the Brother Egbert Germain Wing, which was devastated by Hurricane Maria in 2017. Years of deterioration have left several classrooms unusable, reducing student enrollment and limiting access to quality education.

SMA, located on Turkey Lane in Roseau, Dominica, is the island’s only all-boys Catholic high school, founded in 1932 by the Christian Brothers. With a maximum capacity of 400 students, enrollment has dropped to just over 300 due to the damage. Without immediate repairs, future generations may lose access to this vital institution.

Dominica, a small Caribbean nation of 70,000 people, was the only independent country devastated by Hurricane Maria and had to fund its own recovery. Unlike government-funded schools, SMA relies entirely on its alumni, donors, and supporters to maintain its infrastructure. That’s why we need your help.
