Be a #ChampionOfYouth for Day of Giving and support the Boys & Girls Club of Vermillion! Your donation goes directly toward the operating costs of serving over 100 youth at the Club. These costs include paying our caring staff and purchasing necessary supplies, such as yogurt parfaits for a nutritious snack, paint and canvases, books, board games, and more!

The Club serves as a safe, positive place for Vermillion area youth to go after school and during out-of-school time Monday through Friday. Here, they receive a free snack and meal and participate in fun and educational programming. Youth have the freedom to choose which of the multiple programs to attend, each falling under at least one of three priority outcomes:

Character & Leadership
Healthy Lifestyles

Academic Success programs enable youth to be successful in school and instill a passion for lifelong learning. These programs include homework help, creative art projects, and critical thinking and literacy skills.

Healthy Lifestyles programs focus on youth’s health in their mind, body, and soul. This outcome includes making and eating nutritious snacks and meals, and active programs like soccer and tag, or getting outside and using our new playground. Promoting positive self-esteem and mental health is an important aspect of this outcome, and we also offer programs like Girl Talk and Boy Talk, and counseling services, for that reason.

Character & Leadership programs foster youth's personal growth and life goals. These programs include board games and team activities to teach good sportsmanship, which youth love to display during ping pong and pool tournaments, games of Catan, or while challenging each other in video games. We also help youth build career skills and knowledge by helping them with their resumes, practicing interview questions, and providing the opportunity for teen youth to become junior Club staff members.

There is truly no program like the Boys & Girls Club of Vermillion in the Vermillion area. We set ourselves apart from others by being a facility-based organization, having a mission and programs that allow youth to exercise their choice in what they would like to do each day, and offering CSA support and scholarships for our monthly $125 membership fee.
