What a joy it has been - even in the midst of a pandemic - to join the team at Via International.  I started in January and enjoyed a wonderful welcome celebration and an exciting series of visits to Tijuana and Mexicali.  Unfortunately, the pandemic has prevented me from visiting Via's sustainable development partners in other locations, but the connections built through a year of virtual meeting and gathering have been inspiring nonetheless. I am so thankful for the staff team at Via, for the organization's Board members, donors and volunteers, and for the hundreds of people who have participated in our virtual programming through the Via Cafe.  Most of all, I am pleased and proud to play a small part in the lives of so many leaders-in-community, giving shape to the public landscape of the US-Mexico borderlands.  Thanks for joining me in support of Via International!
