Support Village Mentor's Fundraising Campaign!
Village Mentors at Ohio State was founded in 2020. We’re located at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Our student-run chapter includes dedicated and passionate college students working toward spreading literacy around the globe through our mentoring and educational resources. We are mentors, fundraisers, friends, and advocates for literacy committed to helping others tap into a love of reading and escape the confines of poverty.
We empower underprivileged children and communities globally through building impactful, scalable learning hubs sustained by virtual mentors that improve global education and quality of life.
Village Book Builders, is a 501(c)(3) NGO EMPOWERING villages around the world by connecting diverse and passionate university and high school students with existing virtual mentoring programs that aim to end the cycle of poverty through EDUCATION.
Education plays a big role in the development of a community and BUILDING a library is just the first step toward creating a space dedicated to LEARNING.
We call this HOPE through books and virtual resources.
As part of this initiative of empowering children in underprivileged communities, Village Mentors at Ohio State is conducting a fundraiser to help gather funds for our trip to Malawi, Africa so that our mentors will be able to comprehensively supplement mentee education and further cultivate mentor-mentee relationships by introducing in-person, kinesthetic educational activities to their mentees.
