The Visitation School community prides itself on teaching, learning, and living with Honor, Integrity, and Respect. In these unprecedented times we have added another term to that motto: resilience. When the world shut down in March, our teachers and students took to their virtual classrooms, without missing a beat, to finish out the school year. Despite technical issues, equipment hurdles, and the stress of quarantine, our students completed their work with the hope that virtual school would be a thing of the past.

As we continue to battle a global pandemic this fall we are rising to the occasion once again. For the first time in our 137 year history, Visitation School is offering simultaneous in person and virtual learning options. With nearly 50% of our students opting for the virtual learning, our teachers have been tasked with creating an entirely new classroom dynamic. This task would be impossible without a reliance on technology.

The task of bringing our school into the modern era has been daunting but one we have embraced whole heartedly. Students from 4th to 8th grades are provided with a Chromebook to allow for seamless digital engagement regardless of virtual or in person instruction. The need for constant streaming has required upgrades to our infrastructure as well as instructional equipment. These improvements allow us to continue to educate but more are still needed to guarantee that we will stay connected to our students.

We ask that you help us continue to educate our students, regardless of what is happening in our world, by making a heartfelt donation to the Friends of Visitation, a 501c3 dedicated to the proliferation of Visitation BVM School. All donations are tax deductible and will be used to maintain and upgrade our school.
