It's that time of year again! SGS now has THREE board members with July Birthdays!! 🥳 This month we are asking you to join us in giving a gift that will be PAID FORWARD. We have some big hopes and dreams for Mandy and the Sanctuary and we are requesting your help to make them come true!

For our Bdays this year our goal is to raise $5k to use for a few things we want to nerd-out about and that help us fulfill our Mission of embodying practices of Land Justice, Equine Wellbeing, and Trauma Healing. To take our next steps we need the following:

1. Pivo Equestrian Training Pack- $420.00 this is a major piece of tech that will help us to record our learning moments with Mandy to share with you.
2. Board Member Intensive Training Day with Farah DeJohnette- $1000.00 Rebecca has been personally training with Farah for the past two years. Her model aligns with our values centering the horse's wellbeing, their ability to consent, and FUN. We would like for our other current board members to also experience Farah's expertise. Among the many benefits, having this  intensive training experience will help them better promote SGS's mission by being able to speak from personal horse experience. The 1k amount would cover the Training Day and travel-related expenses.
3. Ongoing Board Mentorship with Farah- $1500.00. This amount would cover the majority of the cost for 12 months of ongoing group training with Farah for all Board Members over the course of the next year. This will significantly aid in Mandy's training, ensuring that we are all on the same page in our interactions with her. Furthermore, Farah's model is one we hope to teach others who choose to engage with our future programming. In the meantime, we will feature this learning through the videos we record with the Pivot equipment 😁 
4. Mandy's Care. The remaining $2,580.00 will go towards Mandy's care as she continues to help us spread the word about our work.

SGS's operations are 100% volunteer-based. These funds will greatly assist in enhancing our capacity to build our educational platform and spread the word about our mission.

Many of you are already invested Stewards of our mission to embrace land justice, equine wellbeing, and trauma healing under one umbrella for New Haven area communities. To date, you have helped us: Bring Mandy, our first horse, under our care; pay for her monthly expenses; build community; and begin sharing our learning process through our social media and newsletters. We are so grateful to you as well as our new community members for your ongoing support!
