Help 20 public high school students in Harlem go on a potentially life-changing trip in October to two Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Howard University and Morgan State. Students will not only learn about the legacy of each, but also about the academic programs and services that will prepare them for successful careers.
According to the trip's organizer, "The purpose of the college tour is to provide inner-city youth from low-income families with direct exposure to higher education opportunities. Many of these students face financial, social, and environmental barriers that limit their awareness of and access to college pathways. By visiting college campuses, meeting with students and staff, and experiencing campus life firsthand, participants will gain inspiration, motivation, and practical knowledge to pursue postsecondary education. This initiative aims to broaden horizons, encourage long-term academic and career goals, and empower students with the belief that higher education is both attainable and valuable to their future success."
Your generous contribution will help defray transportation and food costs. Please donate by September 20, 2025. Thank you!
