BlueFeather rescues and provides sanctuary to horses and dogs. There is becoming an increasing need for senior animals to have a safe place to spend their Golden years, and we are one of those places.

Our local and surrounding communities also have two big needs, a safe place for people to have help healing mentally and a place that brings quality feed to the area. We would love to be both of those! Our plan is to open a feed store that will not only provide feed to animals in the area, but it will help BlueFeather be sustainable on its own. We also want to bring a safe place for animal assisted healing.

We want to offer a space where individuals can come and spend time healing with the horses.
This will need to be a fenced area, with a shade/shelter to stay out of the sun or weather. I would also like a private area with shrubs, trees, a bench, where people can have a sense of privacy to cry or express emotions.
I personally battle depression, extreme anxiety, agoraphobia and panic attacks myself. The horses and animals have always been my therapy. I would love to help as many people as we possibly can by offering animal therapy.

2. Opening a Feed Store. I’ve filed for Outlaw Feed LLC! I still need to file for the business license and resale license $400. Update!! We have the resale license!! We want to bring quality feed to the local community as well as bring our cost down. I’ve already spoke to BarAle and ElkGrove and am onboard to being able to supply these amazing feeds. We can also bring in tractor trailers of high quality hay.
Outlaw Feed LLC will help keep BlueFeather in feed, as well as keep the local community in quality feed for their horses. It's a total win win!!!
We have the area, we just need the permits, and a locked shipping container for storage of bagged feeds.

3. Fox!!
We would love to assist Save A Fox by helping them house several fox that were rescued from a fur farm. Save A Fox is in the middle of taking in 500 Fox that otherwise would have been pelted. In order for us to accomplish this we first need enclosures, then a permit and inspection. The permit is $200 (we have that covered). The expense we need help with is enclosures. Each one needs to be dig proof, have 6' welded wire fencing at approx 20x20' (larger the better) a top and a den. Estimate is about $700 for each enclosure, unless we can find lower cost welded wire pens.
