They Were Out of Options—But We Couldn’t Turn Our Backs

On a chilly February morning, we received a desperate message from a woman overwhelmed by the crisis unfolding on her property: 30 Great Pyrenees dogs, including two pregnant females, were in urgent need of help. Isolated and with no access to nearby services, she was struggling to afford basic care and spay/neuter surgeries, with no resources to turn to for help.

Our team knew this was a rescue we couldn’t ignore. With support from our community and partner organizations, we mobilized to provide immediate relief to this woman and her dogs.

Your Support Made an Impact

Because of supporters like you, here’s what we accomplished:

• Spayed and neutered 30 large-breed Great Pyrenees, preventing around 280 puppies each year from adding to the crisis.
• Delivered 18 puppies safely and cared for them alongside their dedicated mothers.
• Found loving homes for 24 adult Great Pyrenees, giving each one a fresh start.
• Helped this courageous woman keep a manageable 5 dogs, all spayed and neutered to end the cycle of overpopulation.

In total, 48 lives were forever changed. But this rescue isn’t just about numbers. It’s a story of courage, resilience, and the power of a compassionate community that stands up for those who need it most.
