Shepard's Cove Emergency Shelter
Since 2004, UCAP has proudly managed Shepherd’s Cove in partnership with the Prince George’s County Department of Social Services. This 100-bed emergency shelter provides safe, stable housing for individuals in need and is operated and monitored 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by dedicated, caring professionals.
Shepherd’s Cove offers more than shelter—it serves as a critical point of support for individuals experiencing housing instability, connecting them to essential resources, supportive services, and pathways toward long-term stability. Through compassionate care and strong community partnerships, UCAP remains committed to ensuring dignity, safety, and hope for those we serve.
Community support makes this work possible. Donations help sustain shelter operations, provide basic necessities, and expand services for individuals seeking safety and stability. By giving, you help ensure Shepherd’s Cove remains a place of refuge and opportunity for those who need it most.
