In past six years, MEEA Mini Grants for Outdoor Learning have enhanced learning for more than 130,000 Maine students at over 60% of Maine's schools and disbursed close to $800,000.

These grants provide funding for necessary outdoor gear, once in a lifetime field trips, inspiring guest speakers, Wabanaki Studies, outdoor classrooms, and much more.

We know that getting outside during the school day improves students' academic performance, health, and wellbeing. And nature-based education helps youth become more civically engaged citizens who care about our planet!
